Drive Business | Champion Legacy
Where We Stand
Business and estate planning thrive despite economic uncertainties. With a glance in the rearview, we continue to serve individuals, families, and their businesses where it matters most. HVP lawyers provide peace of mind for business growth and estate planning. We are always at the end of the phone or the strokes of a keyboard when you need us.
New Business Law Landscape
- Brief businesses on new laws
We advise businesses on new laws, taking a proactive approach, building legal compliance into every new business structure from the start. - Navigate Beneficial Ownership Information Report Filings (BOIR)
Our lawyers use their BOIR checklist to identify companies needing to file a report and steer new companies through their compliance obligations with BOIR filings.
Solve Estate Planning Challenges
- Workshops for solid legal tools
We focus on key areas of estate planning law. Most recently we held a planning workshop on Estate/Power of Attorney. Our education programs share information and foster interest in this critical issue for families and their businesses. - Help new non-profits navigate thorny growth and succession issues.
- Support for families losing loved ones
We assisted families by supporting their journeys as loved ones lost capacity to secure their estates. - Provide continuity of service for lawyers in transition
Demand Propels Growth
- Robust growth and demand for sophisticated legal services fueled our efforts to focus on high-end business counsel and multi-faceted estate planning strategies. Our team realigned to meet these challenges, ready and eager to meet your needs.
Champion Community
We strive to achieve positive impact by investing in our communities. We volunteer and provide financial support. Just recently, beloved partner Tom Hauser retired, and continues to serve as community liaison for a host of community causes, including:
- Friends in Sonoma Helping (FISH), President of the board of directors
- Sonoma Library Commission, Vice Chair
- Professional Advisory Group of Community Foundation Sonoma County, Member
Our donations supported youth development programs including:
- Sonoma Ballet
- Little League
- Soccer
- Education
- Local spiritual organizations
For 2025 we keep our focus on youth and community service including two organizations near and dear to our principals:
- New scholarship fund in the memory of Joseph A Piasta II
<describe> - Ronald McDonald House
We help RMH in supporting families around the world and helping them access the medical care and resources they need.
